In 1961 nine
women who had been members of a Houston group called the Girls’ Cotillion founded LTG with a goal to provide social
events for the group’s sophisticated, single members. The initials LTG stood for Les Tres Gentilles which, in French,
means “the very gentle women.”
1974 the LTG Board decided to expand the membership of the organization and make it more contemporary. With that decision,
the group officially became LTG.
LTG comprises successful, professional single women 40 and older who gather regularly to meet and network with other single
women and with single men (see mixers). Click on the tabs to learn more about LTG.
